Why Choose the Shorehouse?

Each apartment at The Shorehouse is fully self contained, consisting of one, two or three bedrooms and bathrooms with a bath and/or shower. Living accommodation consists of sitting/dining area features TV and DVD and kitchen area with all the necessary equipment.

All but two of the apartments have sea views and in addition, the large garden area allows you to enjoy the atmosphere and scenery from the outside. Many of our guests like to read or relax in the large reception hall at The Shorehouse. There is also a laundry/drying room for guests.

People choose self catering because they want to have their own space and the freedom to eat when they want. Hotels or Bed and Breakfast may suffice for one or two nights but if you require your own space, then The Shorehouse is for you. Brodick is well serviced by reasonably priced, high quality food stores, or for eating out there is a choice of many good restaurants and several excellent ones. In addition, there is no shortage of well stocked and managed watering holes, in which you enjoy a drink in a friendly atmosphere. It is also central to many of the ammenities on Arran including the Auchrannie Spa, which is open to the public at modest prices, Brodick Castle, Arran Aromatics, The Museum and last but not least Arran Brewery. The island's bus depot is also located in Brodick so you can get around the island easily from The Shorehouse.

The Shorehouse has a skippered 7.8 metre Power Boat for hire, certified to carry 8 passangers. It is available for short (1 hour) or long (3 hours) charter around Arran or to the nearby islands for more details click here.
